My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

TheBigTour story,

Two Air Traffic Controllers from Aberdeen are going for a little motorcycle ride.

This year Prospect ATCOs’ Branch have organised a sponsored aircraft pull at Goodwood race track on 3rd June 2012 with the intention to raise £100,000, in order to purchase a new aircraft for their chosen charity, Aerobility.

This event they are calling The Big Pull.

As part of the efforts to raise the money needed, on the 26th May 2012, Wayne Clarke and Alan Campbell will ride from Aberdeen to the most Northerly Nats radar site at Fitful Head in Shetland, then down to the most Easterly one at Cromer in Norfolk before heading on to the most Westerly and Southerly one at Burrington in Devon.

They are planning to complete the ride in time to take part in the Big Pull at Goodwood on the 3rd June 2012.

Aerobility enables disabled, seriously ill adults and children the chance to experience the joy of flying. They also help with the rehabilitation of wounded servicemen and women. However, ageing aircraft mean high maintenance costs and less airborne time.

By securing Aerobility a brand new plane, we can ensure that less of the valuable sponsorship money they receive is diverted to maintenance and therefore enable more people to benefit from all that the Charity has to offer.

You can donate to TheBigTour directly on our JustGiving page.

If you would like to donate to The Big Pull, you can find out how do so at www.thebigpull.co.uk where you can also find out further information about the big event itself as well as seeing what else is going on in support.

If you are a staff member of NATS you can also give tax efficiently via the Gift as you earn scheme, please talk to your local rep for details.

The amount you give is not important; it all goes towards our massive target of £100,000, but please consider donating something, however little.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Please support Wayne and Alan and dig deep. Thank you.
