Story
All funds raised are going to be directed to The Cove only, and not the central Macmillan fund.
I (Ben) have wanted to do this ride for the last few years, but due to a delicious South American salad illness, some best mates getting married and getting married myself, I’ve previously had to withdraw my application.
On hearing about 'The Cove' and their ambitious fundraising project, I could think of no better cause to ride in honour of. I believe that it is a great asset that will really help Cornish people directly, as well as their families.
Having obtained my entry, Bryson (Head of Cancer Services in Cornwall) decided that he would like to join me in this challenge and we have decided to fundraise together.
We are both paying our entry fee and an extra contribution in the sponsorship fund, in recognition of the support that Macmillan is giving us, especially post race.
We are placing the first sponsorship to ourselves as the entry fee and a contribution towards the support that Macmillan are offering us - particularly post race.
This is going to be a huge undertaking for both of us and we are proud to be helping to fund this future for Cornwall.
