The (day after the) longest day golf challenge took place on the 22nd June 2009 at Newcastle, Stone, Barlaston and Trentham Golf Clubs
"Last year my wonderful partner, Deborah Harrison passed away and thanks to the expertise and care of all of the staff at The Douglas Macmillan Hospice in Blurton her last weeks where thankfully peaceful. Debs sons, myself and her family also received unbelievable support through a very difficult period for which we shall be eternally grateful.
This golf day to is aimed at raising as much money as possible as our way of saying thank you to all of the staff at Douglas Macmillan for all of their help, support and care and to help to ensure that the support and expertise that was available to Deb, and all of us that loved her will be there for anyone unfortunate enough to need it now and in the future.
Please help us in any way you can, every penny counts for the people at Douglas Macmillan and we would love to acheive something special in the name of a very, very, special person .
For Debs, with all of our love."
Andy Wilson.
