Tough Mudder London West · 26 April 2014 to 27 April 2014 ·
Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to visit our justgiving page.
Somehow 9 people have been brain washed, tricked, conned, and bribed into participating in the London West Tough Mudder. Some of us are already fit and in good shape. But most of us are not and are facing a long battle against treadmills, dumbbells, woodland trails, logs, 6am starts and Phil Russell.
Tough Mudder is deemed to be the toughest obstacle course on the planet. Tough Mudder events are hardcore 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie.
You have to tackle fire, ice, underground tunnels, overhead hanging bars, electricity and….uhhhh….oh yeah MUD!!!
There are some massive personal goals being achieved here, but ultimately the challenge can only be completed as a team.
We have chosen to participate in the tough mudder to raise money for local children’s charity Julia’s House. Please read the below to find out a little bit about them x.
Julia’s House is Dorset’s local
children’s hospice
We care for around 100 life-limited children all over Dorset. They visit the hospice for sessions and overnight stays or a member of our community team cares for them in their own home. Julia’s House understands the strain that having a very poorly child can put on the whole family – that’s why we also organise social activities for mums, dads and siblings.
But this all comes at a cost...
Less than 10 per cent of our income comes
from the government. For the rest, we rely on
the goodwill and support of people like you.
