Story

The Feet of Athena - Maggie's Night Hike 2010.

The Feet of Athena is a team of business women and friends who met through The Athena Network in Central London.

As business women and Athena members we network for each other, support each other and help each other all the time, but we don’t often get the chance to do something together that isn’t business-related.
But of course we can’t just socialise – why kill one bird with one stone when you can kill 3 or 4? – so Kathryn Reynolds has very kindly found us a way we can have fun together; where we can get fit, see inside bits of London we would never otherwise see, and most importantly, support a charity that is very much after our own hearts.

So we’ve put together a team for the London 10 mile  Maggie’s Night Hike 2010, which takes place on the 17th September.

We know that the first 3 of our aims will take care of themselves, for the 4th we need your help.

So, please help us to help Maggie’s by donating here, and by helping us to spread the word about Maggie’s, the Night Hike and The Feet of Athena.
Thanks,
The Feet of Athena Team

About Maggie’s
A Maggie’s Centre is a place to turn to for help with any of the problems, small or large, associated with cancer.   Under one roof you can access help with information, benefits advice, psychological support both individually and in groups, courses and stress reducing strategies. You don’t have to make an appointment, or be referred and everything we offer is free of charge.

It is there for anybody who feels the need for help, which includes those who love and look after someone with cancer, who often feel as frightened and vulnerable as those who actually have the disease.

A Maggie’s Centre will be many things to many people.   It is there for anybody to use in the way they want to.   There isn’t a one size fits all recipe for how you live with cancer. Everybody needs to find their own way.   The job of the professionals at Maggie’s is to listen to you, to help you find out what you want and give you the tools to help yourself.
