The Gig to Remember will be held at The Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon on 8th November 2014.

Our goal is simple. To create an amazing music event that spans the generations as well as raises considerable amounts for Alzheimer's Research UK.

We have been overwhelmed with support from businesses and individuals who would like to make donations to the event. This JustGiving page allows you to give any amount, large or small and it will go directly to Alzhiemer's Research UK.

This event has a cost base of £20k. With the help of our main sponsor Hoffman Male and other sponsors, we anticipate covering our costs so 100% of ticket sales can go to charity. This is an ambitious but acheivable goal with your support.

Tickets for this event go on sale on June 1st. The event is fully seated and will be suitable for the whole family. Under 14's must be accompanied by an adult and please bring your parent's and grandparent's too! Who doesn't love the Bootleg Beatles?

My name is Amanda Franks. My mum has lived with Alzheimer's Disease since she was 57. The disease struck her in the prime of her life and has seen her go from a  vibrant, upbeat, head of our family to a compliant shell of her former self in a care home.

The impact this disease has had on my family has spurred me on to work with a team of people to ensure that awareness is raised and we recognise how it hits across the generations. Not just the sufferer but their families too.

We must find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease. Research is massively underfunded so please, give as little or as much as you can afford and bring your family to The Gig to Remember.
