“The Great British Bike Ride"

This summer i'm aiming to undertake a 2500 mile motorcycle journey through Britiain's Historic Counties to highlight the beauty and diversity of this amazing island that we live on - our Great Britain. 'The Great British Bike Ride' will aim to raise £1 for every mile of the journey - a total of £2500 in support of Depaul UK - an organisation working to make Britain an even better place by helping young people at a point in their lives when they need it the most - when they are at their most vulnerable - when they've lost touch with their family, when they have no home, when they are alone and suffering from poor health, and when a helping hand will really make a difference!

Your sponsorship will directly help improve the health of young, homeless people (aged 16-25) in this country. Here are some of the ways that your support can make a difference:-

£5 can pay for travel costs of a young person attending a medical appointment; £15 can provide one night’s stay and hot food for a young person at a Depaul UK Hostel; £50 can pay for five ‘healthy eating on a budget’ cooking sessions; £125 can cover the cost of ten young people taking part in a week-long physical fitness course;  £150 could help 20 young people without ID get copies of their birth certificates (essential to access benefits, housing and some health services); £250 can buy a basic start up kit (clean linens, towels and cookware) for a young person being resettled into his or her new home; and £500 can provide 150 young people with workshops on sexual health, healthy eating and drugs/alcohol awareness.
