At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

This is the "official" fundraising page for the Great Fridge Adventure. Some of you may be friends, others just people whom are interested in what we are doing, but either way, thank you for taking an interest and thank you for any donations you may give.

A little about what we will be doing, in case you are not fully aware.
In the summer of 2009, beginning in the first week of August we will undertake the  1100 mile walk from John O Groats, the most North Easterly point of mainland Britain, all the way to Lands End, the most South Westerly point of mainland Britain. We will, as means of making what we are doing more challenging, and in order to raise more interest for our chosen charity, be taking with us two fridges- one each, for the entire journey.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
