Story

Hello generous friends and colleagues

Those of you who know me will know that I'm in no fit state to run very far, let alone run 26.2 miles regardless I've decided to enter the 2010 Edinburgh Marathon.  I've decided that while doing something very foolish, I should counter balance that by doing something good so thought I'd try and raise as much cash as possible for Children 1st.

For those of you who don't know, CHILDREN 1ST has 40 local and 4 national services throughout Scotland reaching vulnerable families, protecting children from harm and neglect, helping them recover from abuse and promoting children’s rights and interests.  If you’ve any queries, please don’t hesitate to call us.   You can find more information about CHILDREN 1ST on their website.

But before you visit there, pop over to my blog to chart my progress from couch potato into a marathon runner!  I've a long way to go, literally, but I think with your support, a bit of luck and the mrs nagging me to go out running I'll get there.

I never usually ask for sponsorship, due to never really doing anything, but I'm asking now so dig deep folks and think of the good karma.  It would be good to raise at least 500 quid, so don't be tight!

Thanks
