Story

Hi di Ho,

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm hoping that if you've come this far you're about to take the next step and sponsor me for dragging my sorry carcass around the Potteries on Sunday 8th June in the Potter's Arf Marathon and in the process helping me raise some much needed cash for 'The Everyman Charity'.

For those of you who don't know, 'The Everyman Charity' raises money to help fund research into testicular and prostate cancer, teh biggest two killers in young males after smoking. Testicular and Prostate cancer don't get anywhere near the media coverage of their limelight hogging kin (yes lung cancer, i'm talking to you) yet are still hugely prolific in men of all ages. 1 in 3 people will suffer from cancer at some point in their lives, 1 in 10 men from some for of testicular cancer and 1 in 6 some for of prostate cancer. I'm sorry to say that it is unlikely that any one of use will live through our lives without cancer touching our lives in one way or another!

As a result, please help me to help 'The Everyman Charity' to carry on their campaign to research and fight testicular and prostate cancer in our lifetime.

I've done soem maths and if everyone that is in my 'friends' list on facebok alone sponsored me 38p per mile then togther we could raise well over £600. As a result, i have set a target to reach of £1000 and would love it if you could all be a part in that total aqnd help out a great charity...and if nothing else, have a good laugh at chunky old me hobbling around Hanley on a Sunday morning!

Many Thanks

Darren
