Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

A team from The Insurance Emporium is taking part in the Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge and raising money for the excellent charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. We’ll be pushing our very own soapbox racer down a six-metre ramp and over a variety of obstacles in hopes of getting the fastest time. If that’s not scary enough, we’ll be doing it in front of a crowd of 20,000 people!

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to help deaf people, alerting them to important, everyday sounds that they would not otherwise hear. These could be things like a doorbell, alarm clock or even things like fire alarms. As well as this, these dogs can help to give their owners a new-found sense of independence and provide companionship whenever they need it.
