Hello... and thanks for visiting our fundraising page!
From the 24th October until the 1st November this year, to raise funds for Children in Need, we will be taking part in 'the Italian Job' - an incredible 8 day fund-raising car rally inspired by the 1969 classic film starring Michael Caine.
Thanks to B4BMW in Glasgow, who have generously provided the Mini that has made our participation possible, we will be competing to win the rally for Scotland!
Our participation in the rally is being covered by newspapers, magazines, radio and TV so look out for us very soon!
100 Minis from all over the world, will travel more than 4000 miles, over 8 days, through 3 European countries to raise funds for a range of children’s charities.
Starting in Imola in Northern Italy on October 24th the 2008 run will take in several of the film’s key locations, including the famous Lingotto roof top Fiat test track (that can be seen in the film), before finishing in Brighton on November 1st.
All the sponsorship money we raise will go directly to Children in Need so please sponsor us today.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: BBC Children in Need gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now and follow or progress online daily during the rally at www.theitalianjob2008.com and by listening to the Fred MacAulay show on BBC radio Scotland for regular updates!
Thanks
Zena and Gordon x
