THE ITALIAN JOB TOUR 2010

The 13th March 2010 will see us embark on a road trip with a difference, in a bid to recapture the spirit and magic of the original 1969 film 'The Italian Job'.  Our plans are to take our little old Mini and drive from our home in the Midlands through England, France and Italy to Turin where famously the red, white and blue Mini Coopers drove around the streets after their gold heist.  Following in the footsteps of Charlie Croker, Camp Freddie and Co, we will first be stopping off in London, England to visit Croker and Lorna's flat in Nottinghill, the dentist scene with Mr Bridger in Hartley street shot in Twickenham, and Crystal Palace where they were 'only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!'

We then will be off on our journey through France and Italy till we arrive at Aosta in the Italian Alps, where the famous explosive opening scenes were filmed and Col du Petit St Bernard where the Jaguar/Aston Martin devastation that Croker suffered by the Mafia was filmed.

We will finally end up in Turin, Italy where there are many sights to see and to recreate, (ok so we may not be able to drive down the steps of The Gran di Dio church or on the roof of the old Fiat factory!) and we plan to see many of these locations such as the Palazzo Carignano, the Galleria dell'Industria and the wier on the River Po to name a few.

This is just a brief glimpse of what we will be up to on our adventures so we hope you can follow our journey and support our fantastic cause. Please follow our facebook page for updates and progress.
