My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of my Grandma Joyce. She had dementia in the last couple of years of her life. It really got quite bad and she didn't know who we were anymore. She'd lock my Grandad out of the house and was growing nasty towards us Grandchildren. In the end, she was taken from us when she fell down the stairs and badly smashed her head on the radiator. In a way, maybe this was a blessing, to save anymore suffering for my Grandad and the rest of us. She was a lovely lady and he idolised her. It was very upsetting for my Dad and to see him cry when she died was just horrific as i'd never seen this before. My Grandma is safe now and my Grandad has since joined her.

I want to do my little bit to help raise awareness, support and funds for the Alzheimer's Society in a hope that one day this can care for others or help find a cure to prevent it. Thanks for reading.
