Story

Hey - thanks for clicking through! Its much appreciated. So, whats it all about?

In 2010 I plan to set myself THREE major challenges and to help make sure I achieve them I need your help!  Not just in helping me raise some money (though help with this is greatly received) but also with encourgement and support (emotional and physical) to keep me going.

Q: So whats the plan?   A: Raise £3000 for the CardioMyopathy Association (or more!)

Q: how?    A: Glad you asked - read on....

Firstly, I am going to run the London Marathon. Yes, you read that right.  If you know me you know that I am not a man built for running. Or excercise. Or pretty much anything that doesnt involve a pub at some point.  But Challenge no. 1 is the 26 MILES AROUND LONDON.

Secondly - as most of you know, I have taken part in the London to Brighton bike ride for the last 3 years.  I shall be doing this again in 2010 - but this time blindfolded. OK, so that would be stupid.  In 2010 I plan to do it without stopping - not even for the dreaded Ditchling Beacon.  54 MILES BETWEEN LONDON AND BRIGHTON.

And lastly, but by no means least, I plan to swim half a mile. Now, I am no dolphin. I dont have flippers for one. But Swiming is good for you someone once told me and so I have started to learn. (with the aid of a very good coach).  That said, at time of writing I can only swim 100 meters before my lungs burst and a half mile is 800 meters.

I think that is challenge enough - dont you? And its all in the name of charity!

The CMA helps people and families of people with Cardiomyopathy - which is the type of heart condition my brother has.  They do lots of good work and really deserve a little help - so every penny you can spare, please do donate as it will make a difference, and can help to SAVE LIVES.  Go on, you know you want to...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
