Story
The Roof4Shurugwi Appeal is aiming to raise £6,000 to help pay for the roof on the vicarage & community building at St Chad's, Shurugwi - the parish in central Zimbabwe that the South Croydon Benefice is twinned with.
On Friday 5 October, I am doing a tandem parachute jump at Headcorn to try and raise the balance of £2,000 we need. And, yes, I am terrified! So far the parishes have raised about £1,000 towards this target and it would be really great if you would help me raise the balance.
This is a really good cause - the people of St Chad's have had an enormous challenge to build so far with no resources and the finished building will help them work together as a community to provide themselves with a better life.
Anything you can spare will help - and if you are a UK taxpayer please use the Gift Aid and make your money go a bit further.
So please dig deep and donate now - and thank you for reading this.
