Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is a disability charity based in Surrey, with national reach. We have more than 85 years’ experience of developing innovative services which support almost 10,000 disabled people a year to achieve their potential and increase their independence.

Story

<p><strong><em><span style="color: #ff0000;">3 Marathons in 3 Weeks - are we crazy!?!</span></em></strong></p> <p><strong><em><span style="color: #ff0000;">No, not when it's for a good cause and also ........ because we can.....</span></em></strong></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>So, w</em>hy are we doing it??</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;">We have both done marathons before in the past and we wanted to take on a new challenge to raise as much money as possible for those that are unable to do something so natural as to run....</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;">The Queen Elizabeth Foundation works with people living with&nbsp;physical and learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries to gain new&nbsp;skills and increase independence.&nbsp; Whether it&rsquo;s learning everyday life&nbsp;skills, rebuilding a life affected by&nbsp;brain injury, or&nbsp;training for future employment QEF&nbsp;supports disabled people to achieve&nbsp;goals for life.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;">Sarah first got involved with the Queen Elizabeth Foundation a year ago and now teaches an exercise class once a week to its residential members to help with their mobility and rehabilitation. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;">Becky used to work with both adults and children with severe learning disabilities to help improve their social skills and constant daily battles with trying to live a 'normal' like. Therefore, she wanted to help Sarah raise money for the foundation so that they can buy new equipment and resources in order to help them build a greater independence. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;">Please dig deep and help us complete our 79.155 mile challenge!!</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;">We would like to thank you for all your donations and support, it is greatly appreciated as 3 Marathons in 3 Weeks seems quite scary at this stage.....</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000080;">Becks &amp; Sarah x</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
