Story
Walking Scotland's Watershed in aid of MND Scotland
This expedition has been inspired by a good friend of mine who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease last year.
In summer 2013, a team of people will walk the route of Scotland's Watershed to raise awareness of, and funding for Motor Neurone Disease charity, MND Scotland.
Motor Neurone Disease stops the nerve cells that control the body's movement from sending messages to muscles. MND is often rapid is often rapid and always fatal. There is no known cure or effective treatment. There are currently 426 people living in Scotyland with MND, and more than 130 will be diagnosed this year. MND Scotland is the only charity providing care and support for people with MND and their carers, whilst also funding research into the disease.
Please dig deep and support this venture.
