Story

Time to raise some money for a great cause.

Jamie and Julian will be running London this year for a great cause.  Scope is a great charity and has been a fantastic source of information for Jamie's family, whose eldest daughter has cerebral palsy.  Through Scope, Hemihelp and Great Ormond Street, Holly has had the most incredible support in her first 10 years and is doing supremely well in her development.

This will be Jamie's 3rd London Marathon, so to tempt you into sponsoring him, he will be going for an official "good for your age" time.  This means completing the 26.2 miles between 2:45 and 3:15.  He fears it may be much closer to the 3:15, but never the less a huge challenge.

This will be Julian's first time.  Tempted out of running retirement by Jamie's tales of the epic run - his goal will be to get to the finish line in under 5 hours with all his body intact.  Having completed a half marathon as part of his preparation, he is confident that 13.1 miles will be a walk in the park, so only another 13.1 miles needed and job done.

Thank you all, Jamie and Julian.

P.S. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Scope gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
