THEODOSIA’S HIMALAYAN CHALLENGE
I have made a decision to take on a challenge – one that I hope will help me, but also, and more importantly, to help children and young adults in our community who do not have the good health most of us take for granted.
It is through The Leukaemia Society (UK) that I choose to concentrate my efforts. The money raised will be devoted to the recruitment of volunteer bone marrow donors, research, education and patient care. The charity offers emotional, social and psychological help in hospital and at home.
I have an added incentive to succeed in this challenge. My Mum (Pictured with me), who works very hard to promote awareness on leukaemia, is also taking on the challenge.
My challenge is to undertake a 10 day trek/climb in the Himalayas, but first I have to raise a minimum of £3,000 and train physically to be fit enough to tackle it.
It won’t be easy but I am training hard so that I’m fit enough to carry my big rucksack up all that way. I have to keep reminding myself of the trekking rule which I have been conveniently dismissing. ‘Pack what you think you need then take half of it out’ otherwise I will be cursing every unused pair of underwear bound to my aching back.
Please help me raise over £3,000 for The Leukaemia Society and the people who benefit from their services.
There is a mountain to climb, and I will climb it, so please sponsor me now!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Leukaemia Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thanks so much and wish me luck!

PS. I promise to let you know how we get on!
