About the charity
:
The Railway Children
The Railway Children makes contact with runaway and abandoned children as they arrive at railway stations, when they are most at risk from adult exploitation. By joining with other street children projects, it provides the children with protection and support through counselling, education, healthcare, shelter and friendship.

A team from the Rail Accident Investigation Branch will be taking part in the 'THREE PEAKS BY RAIL CHALLENGE 2008' in aid of The Railway Children Charity.
The event takes place between the 10th and 12th July 2008 and will involve us in climbing the three highest mountains in England (Scafell Pike, 977 m), Scotland (Ben Nevis, 1345 m) and Wales (Snowdon, 1085 m). We will be travelling by special train between the three mountains to help us achieve the challenge within 36 hours.
Please dig deep and sponsor us online and help us to reach our fundraising target.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Railway Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
