Beating Bowel Cancer is a national charity working to highlight awareness of symptoms and promote early diagnosis of bowel cancer. It encourages open access to treatment choice for those affected and aims to save lives from this common cancer.

My personal message:

Hi

I can't believe that I'm actually doing the Great North Run although I am very lucky to have a great friend who has taken on the challenge with me so at least we'll both stagger/crawl to the end together!!  

I have no real reasons for chosing this charity apart from believing it is a great one and how it needs so much more publicity/research. 

Should you wish to donate then thank you tons, I really appreciate it and I will be so proud to show off my medal at the end of the race.  If you do watch it on the tv, we'll be the ones at the back.......   Big thanks to Keili - http://www.justgiving.com/Smileyk  - for supporting me throughout and taking up the Run with me as I'm not sure any of my other friends would have been that foolish... LOL but we will have a laugh and we will make it.  Chris (hubbie) is also taking up the challenge http://www.justgiving.com/frenchie1 but he's really going for it and trying for "a time" whereas Keili and I just want to finish and still be breathing....
