Story
78.6 Miles ¦ 3 Days ¦ 2 Feet
Myself and my darling wife are attempting to run 3 marathons in three days,
Why? Well having never run more than to the chip shop and back in Jan 2007 I decided to set myself a challenge, some of you may remember that I completed the rat race in June about 10miles of running and 40 miles of bike over two days, and on the back of this success a new challenge was needed.
Some how, and Claire blames me for this, we are now signed up to to run 78.6 miles, or three marathons in three days. This might seem odd as I have still only completed one 10km race and one half marathon- but we like a challenge. Claire of course is fitter than a racing whippet, but I can imagine carrying her husband the last 75miles will slow her down a little.
We are looking for people to either join us or sponsor us, I know many of you did kindly sponsor us to do the rat race, but if you do have a spare £50/£20/£10 etc.. down the back of the sofa it would be great if you could help us out.
Knowing we are racing for a great cause really is a motivator, all the money will go to HOPEHIV who work with orphans of HIV AIDs. We have support HOPEHIV for several years now, and we have been out to Africa to visit the projects they work with, and believe them to be a wonder charity, just ask us and we would love to tell you more.
Anything you can give would be great.... many thanks
Ben and Claire
