As most of you know I’m running the BUPA Great Manchester run again, and this year all the money I raise is going to a very good cause called Springhill Hospice.

The hospice is a fantastic facility in Rochdale (the home of my employer the Rochdale Observer), that cares for people with terminal illnesses.

Those of you from Rochdale will probably already know that in order to keep up the good work, the hospice needs to raise £5,000 every day.

So, even the tiniest donation will make a big difference. Please, please, please donate anything you can. Go on, just get that debit card out and type those numbers in, it takes about 30 seconds and it’s far less scary than the sight of me turning up on your doorstep with my sponsor form in hand. You know it makes sense!
