The Challenge
As a keen snowboarder I'm always looking for opportunities to get on the slope and enjoy myself. Typically I use the SNO!Zone centre in Castleford, West Yorkshire but thought it'd be good to travel a bit and use the three other indoor snow slopes in the UK, namely; Braehead, Tamworth and Milton Keynes.
This idea merged into a challenge: "Why not do them all in a day!" I thought, "Why not do it all for charity!".
The challenge was born and quite simply is this:
In a 24 hour period, to spend an hour snowboarding on each of the indoor slopes at SNO!Zone Braehead, SNO!Zone Castleford, Tamworth Snowdome and finally SNO!Zone Milton Keynes.
The AA route finder tells me that the route is 400 miles and will require 7 hours of driving. Add 4 hours snowboarding and some travel time and the entire challenge should take around 14 hours starting at 9am in Braehead and then getting on to the 9pm session at Milton Keynes.

I've yet to decide on an exact date but the 5th July 2007 is a likely candidate. The date is a Thursday so the traffic shouldn't be as bad as a Friday and it's before the schools break-up. It gives me three months fund raising time too!
