My story

3 Commando Brigade returned from Afghanistan in April 2009 after a six month tour of duty in Helmand Province.

37 soldiers were killed in action, 169 were wounded in action and 379 suffered non-battle related injuries.

In order to raise money for the Royal Marines Benevolent Fund, and thus directly support those effected by the loses, we completed the final Commando test 'the 30 miler' across Dartmoor. We were the 8th team, out of 47, to complete the event and the first team including civilians.  At the halfway point, Peter was talking of signing up for next year's event - only time will tell!

We truly believe in this cause and appreciate any support that we are given.
