It is entirely possible to go through life, meeting the challenges that confront us head on and forget that it is our good fortune to only have the worries we do.  It is a big world out there and most of our fellow humans don't have it so good.  Many children grow up in a world without the basis securities, rights and freedoms we take for granted.  I've decided to do my bit and would be so grateful if you can support me in my endeavour.

My firm, DLA Piper, have a global partnership with UNICEF and we are undertaking a Global Fundraising Challenge that will require those brave (and foolhardy) volunteers to trek through the Simien Mountains in Ethiopia (2 - 10 October).

We hope to raise awareness and funds for the most vital work that UNICEF undertake in protecting children's rights across the world.  I hope that I can do my bit to make this happen - this will mean dieting, exercising and reduced alcohol.  That, in itself, will be worthy of support.
