Umeed Partnership gives hope to women and children through education and training in some of the poorest areas of Pakistan. Teaching Urdu, arithmetic, English, carpentry and embroidery the centres provide help for the most disadvantaged people enabling them to gain skills and socialise with others.

Story

The Umeed Partnership supports the provision of education and vocational training to women and young people (especially girls) of all faiths in the male-dominated tribal communities of western Baluchistan, one of the remotest and poorest areas of Pakistan, adjacent to the border with Afghanistan.  It also operates in slum districts of Lahore, Quetta and Bahawalpur, and in the Cholistan desert region of southern Punjab.

I'm going to be attempting to complete a triathlon this weekend (September 12th) to raise funds for the Umeed Partnership; all donations very gratefully received.  I've got plenty more detail on the projects that they are supporting in Pakistan - very happy to discuss if you're interested.

Thanks

Rob
