First Touch supports sick and premature babies cared for at St George’s neonatal unit in SW London. We fund state-of-the-art equipment and specialist staff training which are outside of the scope of NHS budgets, as well as a range of initiatives to support families during their stay on the unit.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page and thank you to all of our sponsors.

Well, we did it! As you can see from our picture, all 13 turned up despite early rain. And yes, this is a before photo, the after is too gruesome to publish! I would like to thank all my lovely ladies for taking part ((again!) and on being so keen to do it all again next year!

Other than the money on this page, there are many sponsorship forms so I dont know how much we have raised yet for the Friends of the Neo Natal Unit at St Georges.

This is a small charity doing a huge job looking after tiny babies either born early, require medical care or need surgery.  Many of the babies survive early birth or illness and go on to graduate from the Neo Natal Unit . One of the team had a baby girl on the unit in 2000. Unfortunately she didnt survive and her life support was switched off after 26 days. However, without the excellent care from the staff and all the vital equipment, those precious days would never have happened. Your donations can help fund this equipment  to help the babies graduate or maybe give another family some very precious memories.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Friends Of The Neonatal Unit At St. Georges gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

This page will continue to take donations until 1st December

Thank you very much
