EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

At The Wellington Hospital we have taken on the Headway Baton this year and with it the responsibility of raising funds for Headway.  Throughout the year, various members of staff are competing in different running events to try to raise money for this worthy cause.   So far the runners and races are:

London Marathon (April 26th): ,

Lisa Majteles: Attempting her first ever marathon

Lesley Mill: Competing in her 3rd and possibly last marathon - older but faster!

Robin McNelis: Taking on the challenge for the 15th time!!

British 10K (12th July): Aimee Fryer

Royal Parks Half Marathon (October 11th):

If you are inspired to join us in raising funds through running, please contact Robin at The Wellington Hospital.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Headway - the brain injury association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
