Story

My Next Challenge

This weekend I am off to Lasham Air Field in Hampshire to pull a jumbo jet 100 metres along the runway for charity!

I am part of a team of wheelchair users that will attempt to pull a 70 tonne jumbo for

The Disabled Flying Association to raise awareness of ABILITY rather than DISABILITY and we hope to break a WORLD RECORD at the same time.

The BDFA gives disabled people wings, piloting an aircraft, seeing the world from the sky is an excellent source of rehabilitation and life achievement. The charity operates adapted aircraft around the UK providing aviation experiences, flight training and social events. Every £ raised flies a disabled person or terminally-ill child.

You can also find out more information on the event at

And if you're not busy on Saturday why not come along and watch us take on the challenge which is just part of what will be a fun day out for all the family.

Also on the day

The Sailplane Grand Prix
