Steve was so proud to be a part of HEMS. He felt privileged to be active with such an esteemed collection of professionals. Of course we all know that he was greatly admired himself.
Steve would be chuffed to bits that at a time of adversity we were still able to support such a vital service.
It takes courage, commitment and a special kind of person to fill the boots of a HEMS officer, the sort of personality that made Steve such a loveable, tremendous man. To say I will miss him is probably the biggest understatement in the world; but as Steve said, “Leonie! You must adapt & overcome!”
Hoorah Steve!
