The Aspire Channel Swim 2008 · 15 September 2008 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  My aims are to raise funds for what is a genuinely worthwhile charity and to raise my exercise quota at the same time.  So feel free to insult my not so svelt figure to encourage me to do my bit, or  better and meet my targets.

I have to do 22.2 miles (the distance across the Channel) in a 12 week window in a local pool. I am at week 7 currently well ahead of schedule and trying to complete by end of week 10!  Thank you very much for your support.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ASPIRE gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
