On Sunday 4th December I will be braving the freezing winter weather and taking part in a sponsored 10km run in Greenwich Park to help raise funds for Mind in Harrow. Not only that, but I will be doing the whole thing dressed as Father Christmas.
Yep that's right - running round in the cold in a Santa Outfit.
So why am I putting myself through such pain and potential embarrassment when I could be spending my Sunday morning tucked up in bed?
One in four of us will have mental health issues at some point in our life. Mind in Harrow helps people in Harrow who experience mental distress. Services range from one to one support with individuals and their families in difficult times, through to befriending, self-help groups and leisure and educational courses to help get people back on their feet. Their job is a hugely important one and one that is carried out day by day, week by week without much funding.
Your sponsorship will be vital in helping support Mind In Harrow carry out their important work in the community. Please give as much as you can.
THANK YOU
