Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

"Anthea was given 3 weeks to live, but thanks to her determination and fight, together with the support provided by Macmillan, she managed to gain 6 more years with her family and friends"

Chris (Anthea's son), Geoff (Chris' best mate), and Mark, (a very good friend), have decided to RUN across the Sahara desert this October, completing 250 kms in 6 days, self-supported in 40C heat, in order to raise as much money as possible. This will provide Macmillan Cancer Support with the finance to continue helping other families as much as they helped the Armitages through such a difficult time.

You can follow their efforts, starting on the 28th October 2007, on http://www.racingtheplanet.com/sahararace/

Or better, email them each day on http://www.4deserts.com/sahararace/rtpsrtp.php?SID=3&SBID=RC14

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
