Three Peaks Challenge 2009

As a team we are raising funds for the EllenorLions Hospices and The Fire Fighters Charity with the money raised being split equally (50/50) between these very important community charities.

The nine challengers are all supporters of Westcombe Park Rugby Club and have worked together as a team to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours !! Firefighter Dave said "this has been a great opportunity to raise funds for our chosen charities which do so much for the people in our community".

Although far from being highly trained athletes, those involved in the trek were determined despite sore knees & blisters to finish within the allotted 24 hours. 

After taking a few days to recover EllenorLions Hospices team member Graham said "it was knowing that every penny raised was going to such good causes that kept us going, we are all now looking forward to a well earned rest".
