Mountain rescue team members are on call every day, of every month, of every year. Whatever the time, day or night. Whatever the weather. They do it voluntarily. They do it without question. At no cost to the casualty. And it's thanks to your generosity, they can continue saving lives. So thank you.

Story

Welcome and thank you

We’re outdoor students at the University of Cumbria, Newton Rigg Campus. As participants of the outdoor community we have decided to challenge our self’s to raise funds for mountain rescue England and Wales, for the time and effort these volunteers take to keep mountaineers safe.

Our Challenge is simple we’re going to walk Scotland’s, England’s and Wales’s highest peaks in 24 hours.

Mountain Rescue England and Wales receive no funding from the government, and are supported only by sponsorship and donations. So they need our HELP!!!

To equip a mountain rescue team it takes:-

    Team vehicle – £35,000 Full rescue harness – £70 Rope – £80 One set of rescue hardware – £250 Comprehensive First Aid Kit – £300 One set of personal protective equipment – £500 Stretcher – £2,500 Individual member – £1710
