Hello Ladies and Gents
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
WHAT
On 24th June we completed the 3 peaks challenge with the aim of raising enough cash to fund the build of a Kindergarten in Malaysian Borneo.
This mountain-endurance challenge saw us racing around Great Britain, climbing up and down Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours.
To help reach the total Frantz and Katy Nehammer are running the Bristol Half Marathon on 11th of September (see www.runbristol.com).
In a final push to reach our target Katie Stephens will be running the Lake Garda Marathon on 9 october 2011 (http://www.lakegardamarathon.com ).
WHY
To enter the Malaysian education system you have to have a certain understanding of reading and writing. If you live in a remote village with no Kindergarten your chances of achieving the standard are slim.
Building a kindergarten will allow more access to education helping to break the cycle of poverty in the remote areas of Sabah Malaysia.
WHERE WILL YOU MONEY GO
This is 100% giving. Your money will be spent on buying the materials for the build, from foundation posts to blackboards.
Volunteers with the charity Raleigh will provide the labour. Raleigh will work with a project partner PACOS to ensure that the kindergarten is staffed by trained teachers.
And a sustainable difference will be made to many kids for generations to come.
SO PLEASE DIG DEEP AND DONATE NOW.
