Hello,
 
My name is Tiger Lily and I live in London with my owner Linda Barker. The other day I was snoozing in the sunshine when I heard Linda on the phone to some friends in Yorkshire. My name was mentioned, so I pricked up my ears to learn that I am taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for Sue Ryder Care. Apparently, it is 24.5 miles long and we will climb 3 peaks all over 2000 feet high! 
Well, I thought; that's all right for Linda and her friends - they will be wearing big walking boots, but I'll have no protection at all for my paws AND I will take 20 steps for every one of theirs! I'm told my friend Polly, the dalmation, will be taking part too. She has much longer legs than me, so can run faster, take fewer steps and will have a much better view of the path ahead than me. Ah, but having a low profile does have some advantages - just wait until somebody drops some food..... Talking of food, I hope someone will be carrying my lunch in their rucksack  - can't recall anyone asking me what I want, but cheese always goes down very nicely thank you.

I wonder if they will have a Sue Ryder Care jacket for me to wear?
