Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...

Mummy and Daddy are throwing me a super exciting birthday tea on July 15th, the catch is that instead of bringing gifts I am wondering if you might consider donating some money to the charity Brainwave.

I have just been down to Somerset for my first session with Brainwave and it was FANTASTIC!

I was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome in March 2012.  This means that my development is severly delayed.  I hope that with help from Brainwave I will eventually be able to walk and maybe even talk a bit so that I can play with my friends even more.

Brainwave will see me every 4/5 months, they are working with me and Mummy and Daddy to build me an indvidual programme that helps me to improve my skills day by day.  It's really hard work and sometimes I get quite upset and grumpy about doing the exercises but if I'm good I get a treat!   I also get hydrotherapy at Brainwave which is AMAZING, I love it!

It costs over £3000 each year to treat a child at Brainwave and then there are additional costs such as £10,000 per year to keep the hydrotherapy pool going.   We met a little boy last week who in just 18 months had gone from being unable to even sit himself up (like me) to walking around - so inspirational and exciting!
