Story
Hello to everyone.
On the 17th January this year my sister gave birth to her beautiful baby girl Tilly Rose, due to complications Tilly had already sadly passed away, she was just 39 weeks and 5 days. The charity Sands, the stillbirth and neo natal death charity have been massively helpful in looking after my sister and family at this
awful time.
Money raised will help support anyone affected by the death of a baby, to work in partnership with health professionals to improve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved families and,
to promote research and changes in practice that could help to reduce the loss of babies' lives.
Half of all money raised will go directly to Surrey Sands, who have been so helpfull throughout the last 10 months, and without them we wouldn't be where we are today.
A story from Tilly Roses mummy.
Tilly was such a mover from the 1st time I felt her kick. She had me up most nights with her rather large feet kicking me. The day we went in to hospital as she hadn’t moved for a while, we thought she’s having a rest the little monkey. Then our worst nightmare had happened our little girl’s heart had stopped beating. Our world had stopped. The next day I had to go in to hospital to be induced she didn’t arrive till the day after 17/01/2010 she was beautiful only weighing 6lb 8oz. she was born just 3days before her due date.
The reason Tilly had sadly passed away was because she had got her cord tangled around her neck.
SANDS are a great charity, they really are, if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have been able to spend time with Tilly in a special room that was made to feel homely, as much as it could have been, away from all the happiness of the maternity ward.
Please help us raise some money for sands and reach our target.
Tilly you will never be forgotten you have melted so many peoples hearts. You will always be in our thoughts.
Mummy and daddy love you so much sweet dreams my precious xxxx
