You may know I am Registered Blind due to Macular  Disease, which is destroying my central vision. Gene therapy may provide treatment or even a cure, which would transform the lives of millions across the world.  I am hoping you will help raise funds for vital research by sponsoring me to climb Kilimanjaro, the World's highest free-standing mountain!  (19,298ft from base to summit)

This challenge will be extremely demanding because of the altitude, the extremes of climate and the sheer scale of Kili (gulp!).  Arthritis will add to my personal challenge and we assume the blindness  of me and some friends in the MD Society team will provide extra "excitement" for all of us!

JustGiving makes it easy to donate and easy for the charity to benefit from Gift Aid if you are a UK tax-payer. I will be covering the direct costs of participation myself, so any donations should 100% benefit the MD Society. Your donation will really help!  Thanks!
