Along with 11 other intrepid explorers from different parts of the Zurich group, I am cycling from Caen to Zurich (about 570 miles) to raise money for Zurich Community Trust and to promote 'One Zurich'. I have ridden a few charity bike rides over the last few years but none as ambitious as this and have Pete Garnett to thank for his inspiration. 12 of us are setting out on the overnight ferry from Portsmouth on 2nd June (some are cycling to Portsmouth from Birmingham and Swindon) and we plan to arrive in Zurich a week later on Friday 9th.
