Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
After completing the BUPA 10K back in May 2008 I went and got all keen and signed up for the London Marathon - now I've had my place finally confirmed its time to start looking for sponsors.... and start training!
Here's a little bit on why I want to raise the money...
Back in March 2008, Tom Mcgrath - A childhood friend, lost his fight with cancer and sadly passed away. He was 28 at the time and would now be 29 (his birthday is 3 days after mine), now I know Tom was extremely strong throughout his illness and I know Macmillan helped Tom and his family through the difficult times. Devastatingly, Tom's sister Briony passed away on the day of Toms funeral after suffering from an Asthma attack - so this run is in her name too. We will never forget either of you.
Before i go on, I'd like to say a massive well done to Freddie Mcgrath for raising the money he has done so far for both Asthma UK and Macmillan - we're all very proud of you mate.
Its likely that we have all been touched with cancer at some point in our lives with either ourself or a loved one suffering, so please sponsor me for this event and help me raise plenty of money for a great cause.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many thanks!!
Tim
