It has been a couple of years since I last did the Great North Run. This September I am attempting it again as part of my fitness towards the 2010 Paralympics. While doing this I am raising money for The British Disabled Ski Team. This year is the Paralympic year and for the team to compete at the top level we need to pay for a ski tech to find us those medal winning seconds. This will currently cost the team £12000 out of their own money. This is an extra strain on the athletes as they are self funded as it is
The British Team has improved steadily since the 2006 winter paralympics in Torino. Winning numerous medals in Europe, America, Canada and at World Cups. We are now hoping to send out our largest team ever to Vancouver in March and you can help make it our most successful.
