The TECHY bit:

The Mountain of Hell  is a 25km mountain bike race over glaciers, rock, snow, ice, single track and other bike & bone breaking terrain.  There are qualifying races over 3 days, with the final race on Sunday 20th July 2008.  The 2008 event will see over 400 entrants, a mixture of professional & amateur riders from all over the world, start on Les Deux Alpes glacier, altitude 3400m, kitted out in full body armour & helmets (compulsory) as riders risk falls & crashes throughout the 25km race.

The PARKY bit:
The Parkinson’s Disease Society works to help the 120 000 people & their families suffering from Parkinson’s Disease in the UK and funds vital research into the cause, prevention, treatment & cure of Parkinson’s.  Check out www.parkinsons.org.uk for more information.

All that sponsor us have the opportunity to win prizes donated by Ultimate Outdoors & Fitness First, so once you have sponsored us please email me at tim@fergusontim.wanadoo.co.uk with the answer to the following:
To win the sweep stake simply guess:
the TIME (in minutes) X the NUMBER OF CRASHES we have.
(its the average of the 7 of us doing the race.  Last year the winner did it in 40 minutes the guy who came last took 3 hours, but please note the winner is the 7 times world downhill champion)

Many thanks for your support.
