Please dig deep and sponsor me online for my attempt to run the 2008 Flora London Marathon on 13 April - my first ever marathon!

Why do a marathon ?

Yes, I'm mad, but having started running three years ago the time has finally come to put myself through the pain barrier.

Why Prostate Cancer Research Foundation?

PCRF is a very worthy cause. 10,000 men die from prostate cancer every year - that's 24 a day. And early detection could save a very high number.  To put this in context approx.12,500 women will die from breast cancer this year but prostate cancer research receives a fraction of the funding. This is an attempt to help.

Will I finish?

Of course ! I'm not running in a suit of armour or a deep sea diver's suit, just normal running kit; if they can do it so can I and I have a target of 4hrs to acheive.

Donating is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Prostate Cancer Research Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, by ticking the Giftaid box an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you - you don't get much back from Gordon Brown so take full advantage!!

If you work for Deutsche Bank - your donation will be matched - so please pledge as much as you can.

So please sponsor me now to raise funds for helping fight a cancer that kills 10,000 men a year in the UK.

Many thanks for your support.
