Well I did It
here is how I got on.
I got to the Edexcel building a 2pm, registered and was promptly taken with three others to the roof.
Upon getting to the roof I had to climb up a 15ft ladder in the pouring rain, I then watched as two of my companions we connected to a rope and then disappeared over the edge.
then it was my turn...
I found my self standing with my heels hanging over the edge with just the tips of my toes on the top, with David telling me to just lean back.
As I lent back there was a moment when felt I was falling as the slack in the rope was taken up, then I was over the edge and walking down the side.
I took a quick glance down and then promptly wished I hadn't, for the rest of the way down I looked up to where I had been, feeling a little braver as the wall in front of me became larger.
then I hit the ground... gently with two feet and now I want to go again.

Hi, My name is Tim Hunt
I'm a Child minder working in Medway and I was raising funds for the British Red Cross by doing a 800ft (260m) Aerial Slide, BUT due to circumstances byond the control of the Red Cross they have cancelled this event.
SO NOW I AM NOW GOING TO DO A 150ft(45m) Abseil off No.190 High Holborn in London, that means I will have to walk backwards off the top on a thin piece of rope.
I AM TERRIFIED OF HEIGHTS, this is going to take every ounce of resolve to walk off that building, but I will, so please sponsor me to support this great charity.
However well we prepare for life, a single event can change everything. A house fire can leave a family homeless and with nothing. An earthquake can bring a whole country to its knees. The Red Cross believes in respect for other human beings and in meeting suffering with care, understanding and without discrimination. They care for people in their own homes and in local communities, at home and abroad, in peace and in war.
In crisis situations, people need the Red Cross to be there when there is no one else to turn to. This year, millions of people will depend on them and helping me raise bail for this event means that they can be there when it counts.
The British Red Cross offer a Huge range of services both in the UK and internationally, from First Aid training and disaster emergency response to helping people live independently in their own homes.
Thank you for visiting my fund-raising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me on-line.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Red Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
