Brighton Marathon 2010 · 18 April 2010 ·

The Bromley by Bow Centre works in Tower Hamlets helping some of the poorest communities in the UK. They work with young and old, families and people with disabilities. They help people to break out of poverty by supporting people to; look after their health and wellbeing, gain vital new skills, find employment and make positive changes in their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I did it! I ran the Brighton Marathon (26.2 miles) in 4hours 49mins and now I'm staggering and limping even more!

I ran the marathon to bring focus, money and legacy to tackle some of East London’s problems. Endemic unemployment, chronic illness, dreadful educational underachievement and hopeless overcrowding are the everyday ingredients of life for far too many in that community.

Can I ask you to consider joining me in my support of the fantastic work delivered by two beacons of hope and inspiration in East London? You can still sponsor my marathon in aid of Bromley by Bow Centre  (www.bbbc.or.uk) by giving a donation by clicking the 'Donate now' button above, if you want a safe place for £500 or more of your savings then lending to the East London Bond is an ultra-safe way to support both the Bromley by Bow Centre and fellow East London charity Community Links (www.community-links.org). The East London Bond guarantees 100% of your money back 5 years later and is open for pledges until 12th July 2010. Find out how at www.eastlondonbond.org

Thank you ever so much for your generous support. Best wishes, Tim.
