Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

Community Hospice provides free end of life care to anyone living with a terminal illness in Greenwich and Bexley, supporting around 3,000 people each year. Our goal is to help everyone we care for to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle.

Story

Thank you for your interest in my fundraising page.  I am delighted to have the opportunity to raise money for the Hospice and what an amazing event to be sponsored for!  Last year I helped on the final water station of the London marathon, the atmosphere really is remarkable; it’s so heartening to see so much good will and enthusiasm being shown by all the fundraising runners.

My work is teaching in a Pupil Referral unit, which is challenging work but also very rewarding.

I have two daughters, the eldest has competed successfully at County level, and hopefully our younger daughter will start athletics soon. Sport provides children with a fantastic way of life. We belong to Bexley A.C., many of our members have raised money for good causes including the Hospice.

It makes me very proud to be able to combine running with fundraising for such a wonderful cause. Please, please give as much as you are able.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
